Hair of the Day, Jewelry & Accessories for an Earthy Look

Hey guys!  Here is another "Hair of the Day" post featuring a simple look with a gray infinity head band wrap.  The focus of my outfit was my jewelry and accessories; I spent a few weeks keeping it very simple with my looks and I'm not too fond of what I came up with.  Nonetheless, I loved the way I styled my outfit so that's all I'm sharing in this post.

I wore an assortment of rings, mixing metals and finishes, and paired colored stone post / stud earrings together to create a classic look on my ears.  I skiped wearing bulky jewelry around my neck since I wanted the eye to focus more on the stripped pattern on my shirt than anything else.  I used my vest as a focal point instead.

In my previous post, I give an update on my loc journey and a length check.  Check it out:  4 Years, 5 Months Loc Journey Update & Length Check.

Thanks so much for reading!  See you in my next post. ♥

4 Years, 5 Months Loc Journey Update: Length Check

Hey guys!  I'm back with another loc journey / dreadlocks journey update.  I haven't done a length check in a while; my latest measurement was in November 2016.  I spent about a month experimenting with a more earthy look fashion wise, and I'm not a fan of what I came up with.  Instead of scrapping all the photos, I decided to at least share my hair styles from each outfit.
I kept my hair simple, wearing a headband created with a long brown scarf and added a creme and brown flower for flare.  I wore one of my favorite pair of gold hoop earrings with a woven design around the hoop and my usual assortment of stud / post earrings and cartilage hoop earring.  I also wore my go to stacked rings as well.

I've been itching to color my locs again, even though I typically only color my locs once a year to celebrate my loc anniversary.  The month of March is almost here, and I only have to wait until June; I think I can make it.  I'm proud of my hair growth and length retention thus far; waiting to color my hair each year is a part of my maintenance routine to retain as much length as possible, along with low manipulation hair styles.  After viewing these photos again, I'm almost sure that I can wait. 😉

Thanks so much for reading!  See you in my next post. ♥
